Web Cams

There are now tens of thousands of web cams on the Internet. Some of them are for security purposes, but most of them are of interesting subjects like, wild life in the Jungle, or watching baby eagles hatch, or an unlimited array of live, or prerecorded events on just about every subject imaginable. Sometimes the cameras pickup unexpected visitors from far away places, but that’s a topic for another time.

To even begin to catalog the URL’s (web addresses) would take hours of searching through the Internet. There are thousands of them now. However, to get you started I have provided two links here. The first link was sent to me by my friend Ron in Michigan. It combines a look at beach life in the Caribbean, with a look at the airport, and live audio of the air traffic control facility at the airport. That’s right, you can look and listen to the planes speaking with the control tower.  It is best viewed during daylight hours, but visible at night as wellClick Here for Link-1  I also included a link to a short YouTube video taken at the same location. It provides a different perspective of the airport and the beach. Stay low when you watch this one.  Click Here for Link-2

You might imagine that Captain Jim likes boats and ships, so when I want to watch the action live at the port of Miami, I Click here.

To see what is happening at Port Everglades Click here. The live radio communications are included with the video feed, but you can turn it off if you prefer to watch in silence.

If you want to see more of the wonderful world of web cams, check out this link.  Should you encounter an interesting web cam, please send the link to me at jim@jimsayers.com so that I can share it with others.

Have fun viewing the live cameras.  Specifically, enjoy the beach cams, but be sure to use sunscreen.
